Zinc-oxide surge arrestor is the most reliable high-voltage insulation protection equipment nowadays internationally accepted,which is widely used in power system.Zinc oxide valve element,the core element,has excellent nonlinear characteristics,easily achieve insulation coordination with the protected equipment and large through-flow capacity,keep from aging.
HY5WZ power station used type Zinc-oxide surge arrestor is specially to protect AC electric equipments of power plant and substation from the damage caused by atmospheric overvoltage and operation voltage.The product has the characteristics of large through-flow capacity for square wave,quick response,high volt-ampere flat and stable performance.

1.Applicable to both indoor and outdoor.
2.Temperature:-40～+45℃
3.Altitude,not more than 3000 meters
4.Grid frequency:48～52 (50 Hz system) ,58～62 (60 Hz system);
5.Power frequency voltage long-term applied between arrester terminals should be no more than continuous-running voltage of arrester.
6.Earthquake intensity:7 degrees and below
7.Maximum wind speed not exceeding 35m/s.

VI Outline and Mounting dimension
VⅡ Defense tests
The product should do defense tests before running or each two years during operation,Items and ways are as following:
1.Reference voltage at 1mA D.C: D.C.voltage which applied on the terminals of MOA is tested after the current through MOA stable at 1mA.The value should be in accordance with the requirement listed in the table of technical parameters.
2.Leakage current tests:reference voltage at 0.75U1Ma D.C.which applied on the terminals of MOA,the current passed MOA≤50μA.
3.Avoid to do the power frequency spark over voltage tests.
VⅢ Notes
1.The product shall be stored in the warehouse with temperature±40℃,acid &alkali free or other harmful impurities.
2.To avoid MOA umbrella skirt stressed.
3.To avoid scratch the umbrella skirt by sharp instrument in installation.
4.In MOA installation,if there is welding work around,it should be to protect MOA from fire.
5. In MOA installation, avoid twisting the terminals of MOA, especially pay much attention when the terminals of MOA and primary busbar not in a line.
