1. Draw-out Design
The circuit breaker is mounted on a dedicated draw-out mechanism, allowing it to be easily slid into medium-voltage switchgear such as the KYN28A-12 or pulled out of the cabinet for maintenance. This design ensures interchangeability and facilitates maintenance, making it a standard configuration for modern switchgear.
2. Operating Mechanism
A horizontally arranged spring-storage operating mechanism is employed, featuring both manual and electric energization modes and supporting automatic reclosing operations. The mechanism is integrated with the circuit breaker body in a front-to-back configuration, reducing intermediate transmission links and enhancing reliability.
3. Vacuum Arc Extinguisher
Equipped with a center-sealed ceramic or glass vacuum arc extinguisher, utilizing copper-chromium contact materials and a cup-shaped longitudinal magnetic field contact structure. This design ensures uniform arc distribution across the contact surfaces, resulting in strong arc-quenching capability, minimal electrical wear, and a long electrical life.
4. Insulation Methods
Insulated Cylinder Type: The vacuum arc extinguishing chamber is installed within an insulating cylinder cast using the epoxy resin APG process, offering strong creepage resistance and suitability for general environments.
Solid-Sealed Pole Type: Utilizing integral solid-sealed pole technology, the arc extinguishing chamber and upper/lower bushing terminals are completely encapsulated in epoxy resin, achieving compact size, high reliability, and maintenance-free operation, making it suitable for harsh environments.
