The YG1-24kV indoor draw-out vacuum circuit breaker (also referred to as VS1-24 by some manufacturers) is a three-phase, 50 Hz, 24 kV indoor switchgear unit. It is primarily used in industrial and mining enterprises, power plants, substations, and urban distribution networks as a control and protection unit for electrical facilities, and is particularly suitable for applications requiring frequent operation.
This product is a high-voltage version developed based on the mature VS1-12 technology platform. It features an integrated design of the operating mechanism and the circuit breaker body, and is equipped with a dedicated pushing mechanism to form a draw-out unit. This allows it to be flexibly pushed into the switchgear or pulled out for maintenance, and is compatible with center-mounted switchgear such as the KYN28-24.

Structural Features：

1. Draw-out Type Structure

Like the VS1-12, the YG1-24 features a standard draw-out design equipped with a lead screw and nut drive mechanism, allowing the draw-out unit to be easily moved within the switchgear. It also includes a forced mechanical interlock to meet the “Five-Prevention” interlocking requirements.

2. Operating Mechanism

A specially designed spring-operated mechanism is employed, offering both manual and electric energization options and supporting automatic reclosing operations. The mechanism’s output characteristics are well-matched to the requirements of the 24 kV vacuum arc extinguishing chamber, ensuring high reliability and a long service life.

3. Vacuum Arc Extinguishing Chamber and Insulation

Arc Extinguishing Chamber: A long-stroke vacuum arc extinguishing chamber rated for 24 kV is used to ensure adequate breaking capacity and insulation levels.

Insulation Structure: As the voltage rating has been increased from 12 kV to 24 kV, higher requirements are placed on phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground insulation. Common insulation methods include:

Insulated Cylinder Type: The arc-extinguishing chamber is installed within a raised epoxy resin insulating cylinder to increase the creepage distance.

Sealed Pole Type: Utilizing integral sealing technology, the arc-extinguishing chamber and upper and lower bushing terminals are completely encapsulated, achieving miniaturization and maintenance-free operation.
