VS1-24 Vacuum Circuit Breaker

Ⅰ. Overview:

VS1-24 permanent magnetic high-voltage circuit breaker with unique technology adopts a permanent magnetism operating mechanism and three-phase co-axial design scheme, which can be used with the standard chassis carriage as a trolley without any modification to the switchgear matching dimensions and can be matched with KYN28 type switchgear directly; it can also be installed in other isolation rooms as a separate switching unit.It is suitable for a three-phase AC system with a rated voltage of 12KV and frequency of 50Hz.

Red Copper Contact:

The tulip contact is less likely to be embroidered and damaged, and its service life is longer than that of ordinary materials.

Insulating Cylinder:

It is made of epoxy resin cast by APG process with good creepage resistance and insulation.

Ⅴ．Vacuum arc extinguishing theory

The VI with a cyathiform axial magnetic field is installed in the VCB. The VI is with a high vacuum degree. When the fixed and movable contacts open with charges under the force of the operating mechanism, a vacuum arc between the contacts will appear. Because the fixed and movable contacts have chutes with the same inclination direction, the majority of arc current will be diffused on the circumference of the contacts when the arc current flows and the axial magnetic field between the contacts will be formed. So that the arc will maintain diffused and evenly burning in the surface of the contacts, and maintain a lower arc voltage. When the current passes to zero naturally, the residual ions, electrons, and metal vapour can aggregate or composite on the surface of contacts or shielding cover within microseconds.

The insulating strength of the dielectric across open contacts of the VI will quickly restore, and the arc will be extinguished, achieving the purpose of breaking. Due to the use of advanced longitudinal magnetic field technology, this kind of arc extinction has a strong and stable current-breaking capacity.

It is suitable for power plants, substations and other power distribution system control or protection switch, especially suitable for breaking important loads and frequent operation of the place, such as industrial and mining enterprises, substations, and other transmission and distribution systems, as control and protection switches, especially for metallurgy, arc steel-making, and other industries that require a frequent operation, as control and protection equipment.
