Product Structure
The circuit breaker adopts a fronttorear layout of the operating mechanism and arc extinguishing chamber, with a threephase floorstanding main conductive circuit. This design matches the operating performance of the mechanism with the breaking requirements of the arc extinguishing chamber, reduces intermediate links, lowers energy consumption and noise, and enhances reliability.
The springtype operating mechanism is arranged horizontally with manual energystorage capability. It is housed in a mechanism box at the front of the arc extinguishing chamber, which also serves as the operating frame. The mechanism and box can be assembled separately. The energystorage, closing and opening components have fewer parts, a compact and simple structure, and high reliability.
The circuit breaker is equipped with a cupshaped axial magnetic field vacuum interrupter with an extremely high vacuum level. When the moving and static contacts open under load via the operating mechanism, a vacuum arc forms between the contacts. Due to the inclined slots in the same direction on the contacts, the arc current generates a large circumferential component, creating an axial magnetic field between the contacts. This maintains a diffuse arc, burns it evenly over the contact surface, and keeps the arc voltage low. At natural current zero, residual ions, electrons and metal vapor recombine on the contact surface or shield in microseconds. The dielectric strength of the interrupter gap recovers rapidly, extinguishing the arc and completing the break. The advanced axial magnetic field technology provides strong, stable currentbreaking capability.
Circuit Breaker Operation
1. EnergyStorage
1.1 The circuit breaker supports both manual and electric energystorage. Without closing power, use the builtin energystorage handle to move vertically up and down as indicated on the panel (special mechanisms use a Zhandle for clockwise rotation). This drives the gear shaft and energystorage shaft with spring crank arm, stretching the closing spring for energy storage.
1.2 For electric energystorage, the motor is energized, outputting torque via gears to stretch the closing spring. A microswitch cuts motor power upon completion.
2. Closing
After energy storage, energize the closing coil or press the panel closing button to rotate the closing halfshaft, releasing stored energy for closing. The status indicator shows “closed”.
Notes:
A. Closing is disabled if the circuit breaker is closed or the trucktype breaker is moving.
B. Closing is disabled with an electrical closing interlock if secondary control power is not connected.
3. Opening
Upon receiving an opening signal or pressing the panel opening button, the opening halfshaft rotates, releasing the opening latch. The contact pressure and opening springs drive the main shaft crank arm to disengage from the latch, completing opening.
Interlock Devices
a) Antipumping device: Prevents reclosing after electrical closing if the closing command remains active. Confirm if required if the switchgear has microprocessor protection antipumping.
b) Locking device (optional): Prevents closing if secondary control power is absent or below specification. Locking coil voltage range: 65%~110% of rated voltage.
c) Antimisoperation interlocks:
1. Reclosing disabled before opening.
2. Reclosing disabled with an active closing command, regardless of breaker status.

Commissioning
Factory tests confirm compliance. Prepare before primary energization:
1. Inspect for damage or hazardous conditions.
2. Clean insulation surfaces.
3. Verify primary/secondary wiring and grounding.
4. Perform power frequency withstand voltage test.
5. Manually operate energystorage, closing/opening; check status indicators.
6. Electrically operate and verify indicators.
Maintenance
Premaintenance: Place breaker in open/unenergized state; isolate primary/control power.Use cleaners compatible with plastics/rubber.
1. Lubricate moving parts and clean insulation surfaces annually.
2. Operate 5 times/year if stored longterm.
3. Perform insulation tests annually to check interrupter integrity.
4. Limit operations within mechanical life for frequent use.

Transportation and Storage
Transportation
Only the following tools may be used to load and unload the packaging
cases: cranes, forklifts or overhead cranes.
The vacuum circuit breaker must be fully enclosed and secured in its
packaging case during transportation. Packaging, unpacking and storage
shall all be carried out in a dry indoor environment. During transportation,
the vacuum circuit breaker must not be inverted, exposed to rain, or
subjected to severe vibration or impact. When transported by road on Class
3 highways, the vehicle speed must not exceed 20 km/h.
Before delivery, the factory-assembled circuit breakers have undergone rigorous testing in accordance with the GB1984-2014 standard and the factory inspection procedures for circuit breakers to verify the correctness of their mechanisms and functions, and a factory inspection report is included in the accompanying documents.
Unpacking Check
1. Verify model/specification against contract.
2. Inspect for damage.
3. Check completeness against packing list.
Storage
1. Store in dry, dustfree, ventilated areas per GB/T 11022.
2. Store in open/unenergized state.
3. Repack if original packaging is removed.
